I had so much fun today, yes, I know many people would not think that shopping is fun but for me it is a blast. (just wish I had money to do it all the time) We have a large re sale event for children's clothing in our area twice a year and today I got to shop early at the event. Jason came home from work and watched the kids so that I could really dig into the racks and find some good stuff. I did find a lot of great stuff for both kids for fall/winter. I was really looking for Stella because I have already got a good start on Rhett's fall/winter clothing. Stella had nothing before today. I was able to get 22 items for about 7 dollars an item, a lot of them even had the tags still on them! I did end up getting stuff for both kids because there was just so much great stuff. Jason, who hates the thought of spending money, was even impressed with all the things that I was able to find for the kids.

I am so excited! We had some very nice gentlemen come and work on our flower beds today. This was a dream come true for me. Jason HATES to do work in the flower beds, I always have to get mean and angry to get him out there and help me. This time around he just said, call the guy to come and do the work. I was so excited and he did a wonderful job, now we just have to keep them looking this way!

Stella is signed up to play soccer this fall, she got these in the mail today. Her first pair of Nike's, I have one very excited little girl. I can not believe that I had to get her a size 10! They make her feet look huge but they fit and I guess that is all that matters.

Today we went to the lake house for a celebration of my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. They had a lot of there friends and then our family was all there. It was fun to see everyone and catch up.

Rhett was tired and I think that Gigi was going to take a nap with him but it was just to much going on for him to go to sleep.

Gigi finally got Rhett to sleep out on the porch swing. It was a little warm but it worked.

**I am adding this because it happened this evening after I posted this post. Jason is the bath giver in our house, he will get both kids in the tub and let them play and hang out while I have a few minutes to get things done. Well, tonight I was in our bedroom and hear from the other room "Who pooped in the bath tub? Stella did you poop in the bath tub? Why would you poop in the bath tub? Dear Lord, stop going so I can get you on the potty! Rhett, do not touch the poop!" Yes, all of these statements came out fast and one after another. Then I hear Jason screaming Lindsey! At this point I know what has happened and am just rolling in laughter with tears streaming down my face. I respond that bath time is not my job and I will see you when the kids are clean. He then ask me how to clean it up. I do not know I have never had a kid poop in the tub before this evening and thank goodness you are the one that is going to have to figure it out! While Jason was cleaning the tub out, Stella is sitting on the potty and says "Wow Daddy, that was serious!" I love that this happened to Jason and not me, it was just so funny because he was freaking out so over the top.

The only person in my house that will help me with laundry is Rhett, I am not sure that I would really call it help though!

WHAT A DAY! This pretty pink house sits in my backyard. Stella plays in it on rare occasions but most of the time it is used by our dog Max as a dog house, yes, we bought him a dog house and he would have nothing to do with it but this play house is his favorite place to sleep. Well, today it got a whole new purpose by our daughter. She was playing in the backyard on her own while Rhett was down for a nap and I was working in the kitchen. I look outside to see Stella wearing her top but notice that her bare bottom is sticking up in the air, I was like were are her pants? I open the door and ask her were her pants are and why does she not have them on her. She looks at me and says, I had to go potty in my pretend potty but I did not have any toilet paper so I just did not put them back on, by the way I need some candy for going in the potty and not in my panties. Yes, my daughter pooped in her play house floor and then continued to play outside. She did not understand at all why her mother was upset, just kept looking at me like I had lost my mind and this all made perfect sense to her. We have had a long talk about the fact that she now has to come inside and use our indoor potty and not pretend potties. Pretend potties do not flush, this is not a good thing.

The rest of the day went pretty good, we continued to play outside once the potty was cleaned up. We have to say a big thanks to Melanie and Deric. They bought their children a new swing set and asked if we wanted the old one, of course we wanted the old one! Stella has had so much fun on it, it has just been the greatest thing. We are blessed to have such wonderful friends.

These are what we are having fun with at our house. They are bracelets that are also letters of the alphabet. I love them because it is helping Stella with letter recognition and she just thinks that she is fancy with all those bracelets on her arm.

This morning Stella, Rhett and I meet up with Mallory at the mall to do a little shopping. I have to say the kids acted very good while we were there. We came home and hung out around the house and took naps, the rest of the day went by pretty fast. Rhett has now figured out that some of his toys have wheels and he can use them to get around the house. He has been using them to walk all over the place.
Stella woke up from nap time, did not want her photo taken.

Today we went and meet my family for breakfast and then helped Mallory get her books for class. Jason also helped her move her bed and desk in her room. It was late afternoon by the time we got home and just hung out at the house for the rest of the evening. These photos are not great but there is a lot of this going on around here. Anything Rhett can hang onto to walk he will us to get around. This time it was dad's fingers. I have a feeling it will not be long before he takes off and I can not catch him!

Today was a very busy day for our house. It started with Stella and I going to the U of A for bid day. I think that I have put on here that we are very excited that my cousin Mallory is going to be a freshman this year and she went through Rush this past week. Today was the day she found out what sorirety she got a bid from, I thought it would be fun to take Stella to see all the action and what she probably has to look forward to in another 16 years. I have to admit that this was probably not one of my smarter moves because it was very hot here today and we had to do a lot of walking. If you are not familiar with the U of A campus lets just say it is a lot of hills, all up and down walking. On a hot day, with a three year old, not the best of ideas but we made it through. I was thought I was being smart and parking by the Greek theater which is were the event starts, I forgot that after they open their envelopes and find out who their bid is from they then all walk to their houses on campus. This was not a big deal, we walked to Mallory's house hung out took photos and told her congrats. The part that I did not think about was the very long walk back to the car, yes, it took us 45 minutes to return to our car. I thought that I was going to be sick by the time we got back, Stella had to be carried part of the way plus I had my bag with the camera and some bottles of Gatorade. Thank goodness for the bottles of Gatorade. Needless to say after that, we did not run the errands we had planned, just went home for a little cool down.

This evening, Jason and I got to have a little fun out on the town by our selves. This never happens! Mike, Gracie's boy friend had a surprise dinner for her 30th birthday. It was so much fun and we got to go because my Aunt and cousin Morgan were in town for Bid day and watched our kids for us. Thank you so much Mel and Morgan! I did not take the camera so I have no photos from the dinner but it was good food and good conversation. Nice to be out with no kids to really worry about.

The large group shot.
Stella was wanting to do all the cheers that they were singing but the only one that she knew how to do was Woo pig Soooie, she was not happy that she did not know the other ones, guess we will be learning some new cheers.
Looking for Mallory in the crowd of girls.

She found her Mallory, but by this time she was hot and sweaty and little tired.
