Sunday Afternoon

Sunday after church we went over to Gigi and Papa's house for lunch. Gigi did a great job and we were all very full after lunch. Papa and Uncle Kyle were playing catch in the backyard (like they do every chance they get) and Stella had to join them. She thought it was great fun to throw the ball with them and was very excited to use Uncle Ky's glove. She did have a bit of a problem because she could not throw the ball with the glove on her hand because she is a lefty. The fact that she is a south paw makes her Papa very happy.

Blake and Vanessa's Rehersal Dinner

[This is Jason posting today.  You'll see why in a second]

So, we went to Blake and soon to be Vanessa Pianalto's rehearsal dinner last night.  Stella was crazy excited because it was a barn with a couple PUPPY'S (all caps because that's how Stella says it) running around.  She also loved the fact they had cheese pizza.

But that's not why I'm posting.

There happened to be a little boy named Brooks there - a nephew of the Pianaltos.  He and Stella met over a soon-to-be dead moth.  He thought it would be cool to show Stella how manly he was by catching and trying to give her a moth.  She took it, and threw it on the ground.  This happened a couple more times until the moth finally turned into 2 pieces of a dead moth.   Then Stella and Brooks thought it would be cool to hug.  I felt my cholesterol start to increase and my head start to hurt.

Again, that part of the story isn't why I'm posting.

I'm posting because of the pictures below.

There happened to be a large box with packing peanuts sitting in the barn.  Brooks thought it would be cool to get into the box and play.  Stella saw this and thought it would be cool to join him.

THIS IS WHY DADDY IS POSTING THIS!!!   MY DAUGHTER WAS IN A BOX WITH A BOY!!!  A BOY DAMNIT!!!

NOT COOL.   NOT COOL AT ALL.

THEY WERE CLOSE, THEY WERE TOUCHING!!!

I have 16 more years of this?  I'm not going to make it!!! Seriously, it starts this early?  I thought the hug was bad enough.  No, it didn't even give me like a month of warning.  Not even a day of warning.  The hug gave me 22 MINUTES of warning -- before she and this BOY were to be in a box TOGETHER.

I'm done -- I don't want any more girls -- THIS NEXT ONE HAS TO BE A BOY.  My cholesterol and heart CANNOT TAKE IT.

See below for photographic evidence of JASON SKARSTEN's DEMISE.  I need nap.

This is where Daddy couldn't take it anymore.  I removed my daughter from said box.  Ruining Brooks chances with her.  I'm sorry Brooks.  Actually, I'm not sorry.  You should be ashamed of yourself.  You are 3 years old.  She's not even 2 yet.  Your father needs to have a stern talk with you BUCKO.

School Program

Stella had her first school program on Thursday morning. Jason, myself, Gigi, Papa, and Ted were all able to come and watch her performance. What a performance it was, she danced, she stomped her feet, she stole others instruments, and then she was done and turned her back on the audience. I think that she thought everyone was there just for her, who cares about all those other kids. It was pretty funny to watch.

Natural's game

Monday night we took Stella to her first Natural's baseball game. She had a really good time because she was able to walk all over the place and her Papa would buy her as many hot dogs as she could eat, the child can eat a lot of hot dogs.

Branson

This weekend was a very low key time at the lake house. We pretty much did nothing but hang out, one evening we did go into the landing and had dinner. Stella got to look at the big fish tank which she likes a lot. Sunday evening when we got back Gigi and Papa came over for dinner and Stella got to have pudding for the first time. She does not get her love of pudding from her mother, I think the stuff is gross but her and Papa had a great time eating it up!
