Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was so much fun this year because we were in our own home! We were sad that we did not make it to Christmas Eve service at church but  we still managed to talk about the reason for the celebration and enjoy being together as a family. The kids were so excited to leave some reindeer food and Santa cookies. We got to cuddle up on the couch and watch a Christmas movie before sending them off to bed. I have to say that the best part of the season to me is just to stop and spend time with each other. 

Lights

We all went down to Fayetteville tonight to go and see the lights on the square. Everyone was really happy and excited to be getting their photo taken on the square (large amount of sarcasm) They did love looking at the lights and all that was going on at the square, just not me wanting to take their picture. This is one of my favorite things to do each year. 

Santa Clause time!

We took the kids to see Santa today, we love to wait till the last minute. The Stella and Rhett were super excited to tell him all about what they wanted for Christmas, Cy was not excited to see him and even less excited about sitting in his lap.

Snow Days!

We have had a LOT of snow, the kids are on their fifth snow day. They are loving it but I am starting to hope that we have school tomorrow!! We have had a lot of fun being out and playing in the snow. Our neighbors probably love us but we use the gator to sled behind. This is most definitely not the safest thing to do but it works and the kids beg for it every time we get snow. Lesson learned that I need to purchase now pants for my kids and gloves that are water proof it would make for less complaining in the future. 

 Max LOVES the snow! It is so funny to watch him run around in it.

 Lets just say that group shots are not going to be happening in this family any time soon.

SNOW!

It started snowing this evening and of course we had to go out and check it out! I have a feeling that we are going to have a few snow days in our future! The kids loved getting to walk around in the snow and are looking forward to playing in it! 

Photos for Christmas

We thought that sense no one had school or work today that it would be a great day to try and get some photos for our Christmas cards. Getting three kids to be happy, look at the camera, and be still is a HUGE disaster in the making. We were able to get a couple that were not great but got the job done! 

 This could not be a better description of my kids, Stella jumping for joy totally excited to be in front of the camera, Cy just wondering around in his own world not really caring what we want from her just doing his own thing, and Rhett pouting about who know what, probably did not want to be jumping, walking, smiling or pretty much doing anything that we asked of him.
