Halloween

OK, I have a confession to make, I totally failed this year at taking pictures, these are the only ones I got because I was blessed that another wonderful mom in Stella's class at school had her camera and took these for me. I was totally going to get the kids back in their costumes after Halloween and take a photo of them but lets be honest, do you know how much work it is to get 3 kids in to 3 different costumes and then get them to pose for a picture? Well, let me tell you, it's a lot of work, like sweating through your shirt, naughty words going through your mind, husband growling how dumb it is, lot of work. So, I decided that it was just not going to happen this year, the kids will at least have something to add to the list of things they need therapy for in the future. Stella was a very cute cowgirl this year, Rhett was a handsome Power Ranger, Cy started of as a super adorable Mickey Mouse but by the end of the evening he became a "baller", you know a person that wears chains and matching warm up suits with sweat bands on their head, yes we are going with the term "baller" not pimp!!! We had parties at school all day, we got to go to Papi's work and trick or treat, we got to go over with our awesome friends the Jones' Family and trick or treat in their neighborhood. We had a busy, exciting, sugary day just like it was meant to be full of family, friends, and laughter! 

Stella does 1st Grade!

Today was the start of another new year, another new journey in Stella's education, she started 1st grade! We are all so excited about this year, her teacher this year seems like so much fun, we can not wait to see what this year has in store for our wonderful little lady. 

 Jason took Stella to her class this morning. I was very sad that I didn't get to see her off but the boys were still sleeping, you never want to wake the bears when they are a sleep!!

 Jason said she saw her friend from class and they got to walk in with each other!

Stella, we pray that you have an amazing year, that you grow in your education and that you grow as a person. You are an amazing little girl, that is growing into a great leader. We love you so much!

Lake Time

This weekend we went up to the lake house and invited our friends the Jones' to go with us. It was such a fun weekend full of playing, talking, laughing and lot so fun in the sun. We really could not have asked for a better weekend before school gets started back up. 

 Yeah, we have a lot of kids!!!

The Jones' went home a couple days earlier than we did, Stella was very sad to see her friends leave.

Happy Number 7 Stella!!

I can not believe that you are 7 today! It seems like just the other day you were a baby in my arms wanting to be rocked and held. You are growing up way to fast, ready to run and spread your wings, it is a challenging thing as a parent to watch but a beautiful thing at the same time. Stella, you can make me want to pull out my hair at moments but I would never change anything about you. Stella, you are strong, smart, caring, understanding, loving, take charge, rule the world kind of girl, I would not want it any other way. I know with each year that passes that you are going to do great things with the life that God has given you. Stella, your smile lights up the room, your tears break our hearts, you laughter fills our hearts with happiness, your helpfulness brings warmth to cold days, your sassy attitude makes us grit our teeth, you bring a special something to our family that makes it complete. I hope you will always remember that in this world you can do anything you want but always remember to be yourself.

I have to say that this verse fits you to the letter. You have a strength and grace about you that at 35 I only dream of having, I hope that never changes. I love you with my whole heart, princess.

Stella's 7th Birthday Party

We had Stella's 7th Birthday party a couple days before her actual birthday. It was at a local art studio that caters to kids. Stella invited a couple of girls from her class at school and her cousins. Stella was so excited to see her friends from school that she had not seen in a couple of weeks. Each child got to paint a purse to take home with them. I think that they all had a good time. Happy Birthday Stella!
