Family Time

We have had a pretty busy weekend. My Aunt and cousins came into town to meet Rhett but more than anything they came to play with Stella. They brought lots of gifts and lots of love. Stella got to have sleep over at Gigi and Papa's house with them and they gave her a bath in blue water which she thought was wonderful. They also watched Nemo with her, that is Stella's favorite movie of all time. Stella eating with Papa.

Mommy's boy

we are learning more and more about our new little boy each day. I am thinking that he might actually be a mommy's boy which would be kind of nice sense Stella is such daddy's girl. Whenever he gets upset if I just hold him close and snuggle he will calm down instantly. I do have to say that I have craved a cuddle bug because Stella has never been a cuddlier.

Surprise!

Today I got a big surprise, my wonderful husband got me the flash for my camera that I have been craving forever! I was so excited I started snapping away, poor Rhett was the only thing that did not have a choice in the matter but be my model. Stella gave me a firm NO and ran outside with her daddy. These are just some of the ones I took today, I have not even read the book on how to use it but I think that I am going to love it just from how these turned out.

First Dr. Visit.

Today we took Rhett for his first Dr. visit with Dr. Cadle. She said he is looking great and very healthy. He has lost some weight sense we left the hospital and so we are going to start giving him a little formula on the side until he catches back up. Stella got to stay at the house with Gigi while we went to the Dr. She had a great time playing with her Gigi and was very sad when we got home. Gigi and Stella gave Rhett his first bottle, which Stella was telling us how to do it! It seems that life with two kids is going pretty good so far.

First Night Home

Our first night home as a family of four went very nice. I was a little worried at first because when Stella arrived home with Gigi and Papa she was in rare form, I thought we were not going to make it through dinner but once everyone left and things calmed down she did wonderful. She refers to Rhett as "my Rhett" or "my baby". She loves to hold him and does not want anyone else to hold her Rhett. She even let him watch toons with her last night and gave him lots of love. Rhett is such a calm baby so far we are very lucky, he does not mind his sister holding him or giving him some special love pats. He has been a great sleeper, actually he sleeps so much that I get kind of worried that he is OK. He has been doing good with eating but we go to the Dr. Friday morning for his first weight check sense the hospital so we will see how he does.

Home

We have finally made it to our home and are so glad to be here. We are now waiting on Gigi and Papa to bring Stella home and be a family of four. It will be a fun, exciting and I am sure tiring at times of adjusting to the new member of our family but we feel very blessed to have been graced with such a healthy little boy. I can not wait to see Stella and Rhett together and to know that they will always have one another no matter what life brings to them.
