Baby Kate

As some of you know I am the lucky one that gets to watch Lori's new baby girl Kate. She is a wonderful little girl. Stella and I get to hang out with her three days a week. These are some photos from the other day.
Stella was more wanting the camera, than to let me photograph her.

Ruth Whitten

Ruth Whitten was my great-grandmother, a great-great-grandmother to Stella and on Tuesday evening we lost her just a few days short of her 97 birthday. I will miss her greatly and have not even begun to realize that she is no longer on this earth with me but in a much greater place. Nana was an amazing women. God loving, caring, compassionate, determined, and strong do not even begun to describe the wonderful person that she was. She set such a wonderful example for all the women in her life, I hope to be able to pass some of the many things she taught me on to my daughter.

To all of you that have helped us out this week, I can not begin to express my thanks for being such great friends.

Sunday was a Sunny day!

Sunday Stella got up early but the decided that she and Dad could sleep for a little longer while I got up and got started getting ready for church. Gigi and Popi came over to our house for dinner. Stella played outside while Jason was cooking on the girl. She was not really into the texture of the grass at first but she got over it pretty fast.

Saturday

Saturday Popi (my dad) went out of town so Gigi (my mother) and I got to hang out. Stella stayed with Jason while went shopping and saw a movie. We later went and meet Stella and Jason at Quizno's for dinner. These photos are of Stella having one of her first bites of Gigi's sandwich. She has really started liking grown up food and will pretty much eat anything that you will let her put in her mouth. (Oh wait a minute she has been that way since birth, nothing new there)

10 Months Old!

OK I am a little late this but Stella turned 10 months old last weekend. It is so funny to look back at photos from when she was first born and be able to see how much she has grown and changed over the past months. We do not have any major updates as far as weight and height, those are pretty much the same. We do have a few words now, we say Popi, which is for my dad, she says Dada for Jason, she says baba for her bottle, buh bye and waves when someone is leaving, but her favorite word of all is UhOh which can be and is used for everything. She is pretty much a happy healthy little girl, Jason and I have been very blessed.

I love my Uncle Kyle!

After the game Kyle (my brother) came over to the hotel and we went out to eat. Not that there was huge selection of restaurants in Guymen, OK. Yes, we went to a restaurant named Hunny's, no it is not a gentleman's club. Stella is learning how to give kisses but she has not gotten the hang of getting the mouth all the way closed just yet. Kyle got to have some slobbery kisses from Stella, I am sure that he was loving that!

The Game

Stella got to take a trip last weekend to see her Uncle Kyle play baseball. She had fun at the game in her new pink sun hat. It probably would have been a little better if she would keep the hat on her head but hey we tried! Kyle did an awesome job pitching this week. I am a very proud sister, but it is always amazing to think that he has truly followed his dream. These are just a few of the photos from the game.

Those Darn Ears!

Today we went back to see Dr. Cadle. Stella is still not 100% back to being herself and we wanted her to look at the ears before we head out of town this weekend. Jason thought he could be the Dr. and look in Stella's ears. She was not having it, she knew he was not the real Dr.
I carry a bunch of toys in my bag to the Dr. office knowing that I will have to keep her entertained while we wait, I have no clue why I do this sense I can just hand her a pack of baby wipes and she is happy for hours.

Dr. Cadle had just walked in the room, she loves her some Dr. Cadle. Stella is over the ear infections so that is good, she just has a little fluid left on her ears but that should go away! Hopefully we will have a better baby in the next day or so.

Who said you need to sleep in a bed?

I know that this will be hard for people to believe but Stella has not been a bundle of fun this week. She has been very cranky. She has decided that she hates her bed and will scream for hours if you place her in it. She does however like to sleep on the couch or floor. This is a photo of Stella sleeping on her blanket bed in the living room floor. The only place she like to sleep or nap at the moment. Jason is so glad that he spent so much money on that bed for her to decide that she hates it!

Helping with the firepit

Landon and Jenn went with us to the Lake house this weekend. Jason and Landon were putting together our new outdoor fireplace. Stella really wanted to help the boys put it together but they did not seem to want her help. She had a dirty diaper and had to be changed and then the boys would not let her back outside. She stood at the window and doors with a really said look on her face.
No matter how many times I would take her away from the door she always went back to watch them.
They finally got finished and let her come out and swing with them. That was one happy little girl.
I think that Jenn may have to watch out, my daughter is after her boyfriend.
