T.he kids looked really cute after church today and I wanted to get some photos of them. Stella only lasted for a couple but Rhett had to be more patient with his mother. (basically he still has no choice!) Does not like the grass touching his legs and feet.
much better once a blanket is put under him

Today is the first day of football season for all the Razorback fans. Jason and I got to go and enjoy the game today and the kids got to spend some fun time with Gigi and Papi. I am not so sure that it was that great of time for Gigi and Papi because both of the kids have sinus stuff going on and are pretty grumpy. Rhett just feels plan horrible, I feel so sorry for my baby boy. He did sport his razorback gear today but I did not get any shots of him in it. Stella was excited to wear her new cheer outfit and the fact that she was going to practice soccer with Papi.

It's a party! This evening we had Rhett's 1st birthday bash, I think that we hit a home run with this one! (Do love my geeky play on words?) It was baseball theme, we could not have it any other way for our future all star! I have to say that all the guest had a really good time but not so sure it was as great a time for Rhett. His shots have really put him in an awful mood, he has a temp and snotty nose. I do not think I had a brain when I thought it was a good idea to get his shots the day before his party but I guess life goes on, what is that song, it's my party and I can cry if I want to, well, that is kind of how this went for Mr. Rhett! I am just very glad that all the guest had a wonderful time and we were blessed with amazing weather.
The birthday banner that Jason made for Rhett.
The cake, I did not get a very good photo of it but the ladies did such a great job of it.
The baseball cookies, they are like crack, you can not get enough of them.
It would not be a baseball game with out hot dogs and popcorn!

Mr. H, he is such a cute little guy.
The kids having fun outside.
Mr. C came in his baseball clothing, he knows how to dress for a party!
Rhett with his smash cake, the other side had a St. Louis Cardinal on it but did not get that side of the baseball. I think that Stella was more excited about the cake than Rhett actually was, he just did not feel up to all that sugar.
Waiting on us to sing to him
Not liking the sweet cake that I just shoved in his mouth!
This bottle of milk is much better than any cake! He is so his father's son, Jason does not like sweets, would much rather have a full meal than a piece of cake.
The pinata that Lorena made for the party, she did such a great job. The kids always have fun swinging at it and the parents love me for all the candy I send home with their kids!

Uncle KyKy having so much fun at the party, I know that there is no were else he would rather have been!
Mrs. Erin and Mr. H., we have been friends sense we were three our parents are really good friends and I think that it is really cool that our boys will grow up close and age and playing with one another.
Daddy and the birthday boy, I love Rhett's outfit, his Gigi made it for him and it has a glove with a baseball in it. Wish I had gotten a better photo of it.
Opening up all of his gifts, with a little baseball game on in the background. Rhett got so much cool stuff, I am still trying to figure out were to put all of it.
Thank you everyone that came to the party and helped us celebrate such a wonderful day!

Today has been one crazy day! Stella and Rhett had school this morning and an hour before I was suppose to pick them up I got call that Rhett had 5 dirty diapers and I needed to come and get him. I knew that he was teething and was pretty sure that was what was going on but I called Jason and he told me that Rhett had gotten some apple last night. This is a thing that really makes him have an upset tummy. When I got to the school I knew it was the apple that had caused the problem. It always makes him have a very red bottom. Sense I was already at the school I picked Stella up from school while I was there. It actually worked out for the best because I had there 1 year and 3 year check ups this afternoon.

Happy 1st Birthday Rhett! I can not believe how fast a year has gone by, you are such a wonderful, happy, sweet, BIG boy. We love you so much and are so blessed to have you as a part of our family.
Showing me your blanket, you love anything that is soft to sleep with, you have a bunny that must be with us all the time, you take a passie but it is not a must for you like it is for Stella.
Jumping in your bed as I sing to you, anytime music is on or someone is singing you will move to the beat. You love music of any kind.
You have just learned to sway from side to side, it is a very funny to watch you do it because you are very dramatic when you do it.
Once you were up we hung out in your room for a while, it was just Rhett and mommy time because Stella was still in bed. We do this a lot in the mornings, it is really one of the only times that we are one on one and I have to say that I love it.
This is one of your favorite toys, you push it around your room and move the beads and trains all over it. Yes, you also like to chew on it, really you will chew on anything that you can figure out how to get it in your mouth. You have 8 teeth now, four on top and four on bottom but I am pretty sure that you will have more soon. The amount of spit that gets all over your shirts is so gross. I change your shirt at least twice a day if not more.
You are not so big on hats at the moment, I put one on you all the time trying to get you so that you will keep it on, not really working out for me so far. Gigi and Papi got this for you on there last trip to see the Cardinals play. You look pretty cute in it.
This morning I took you to Hobby Lobby with me, you are a pretty good little shopper these day. Stella, of course, was all over the store. When we were done you were pretty tired and feel a sleep on the way home. You still take a nap each day but never at the same time or the same amount of time. Some days it is for an hour in the morning and two in the afternoon other days you only take one nap for four hours. You are still not sleeping through the night but it is getting better. I am hoping that we figure out the key sooner than later, I need a full night of sleep. I am able to carry you from the car and get you in bed with out waking you up, your daddy is not! I can also put you in your bed with bunny and you go to sleep, not for your daddy.
Tonight we had Gigi, Papi and Uncle KyKy over for a birthday dinner. You had a yogurt and some milk while the rest of us had stuffed pork chops and sweet potatoes. I have to say that people do not believe me but you are a very picky eater. Texture of food is a big thing with you, you are not big on bananas, hot dogs, or pretty much anything else. You love apples and french fries, apples upset you tummy so I don't give them to often and french fries are just not going to lead to a healthy lifestyle and that just will not work. I do get you to eat cheese on some days but most of your nutrition comes from milk, I am also loving that you are now on regular milk and not formula. You drink about 6 eight ounce bottles each day if not more.
Uncle KyKy helped you dig into all of your presents this evening. You were one very blessed little boy, you got lots of fun stuff and we have not even had your party yet! Uncle KyKy is hoping that you are going to be left handed like your big sister, it is looking like you will for the most part but every once in a while you will use your right.

You have been crawling for a long time and pulling up is not a problem. You also will stand on your own but have not taken any steps just yet. You do love to hold hands and walk around the house. I am just waiting for you to realize that you can take off. The funny thing about you walking is that you do not bend you knees. You keep them very straight and swing them around.
You love when anyone is sitting on the floor, you speed crawl to them and climb all over them. I think that this could be one of your favorite things, to crawl all over people.
You ended your big day with some help from you sister walking around the house. You love Stella, even though she is still adjusting to the fact that you are here to stay. I think that you two will grow to be the best of friends.
Rhett, I love you so much and am so proud of you. You are such a big, strong, handsome, boy and just so happy. Posted by Lindsey at 9:17 PM 0 comments

I had so much fun today, yes, I know many people would not think that shopping is fun but for me it is a blast. (just wish I had money to do it all the time) We have a large re sale event for children's clothing in our area twice a year and today I got to shop early at the event. Jason came home from work and watched the kids so that I could really dig into the racks and find some good stuff. I did find a lot of great stuff for both kids for fall/winter. I was really looking for Stella because I have already got a good start on Rhett's fall/winter clothing. Stella had nothing before today. I was able to get 22 items for about 7 dollars an item, a lot of them even had the tags still on them! I did end up getting stuff for both kids because there was just so much great stuff. Jason, who hates the thought of spending money, was even impressed with all the things that I was able to find for the kids.

I am so excited! We had some very nice gentlemen come and work on our flower beds today. This was a dream come true for me. Jason HATES to do work in the flower beds, I always have to get mean and angry to get him out there and help me. This time around he just said, call the guy to come and do the work. I was so excited and he did a wonderful job, now we just have to keep them looking this way!

Stella is signed up to play soccer this fall, she got these in the mail today. Her first pair of Nike's, I have one very excited little girl. I can not believe that I had to get her a size 10! They make her feet look huge but they fit and I guess that is all that matters.
