Birthday Party!

Today was Stella's birthday party. It was a lot of fun, we are blessed with a great family and friends. Thank you to everyone for coming and all the donations for the Benton County Children's Shelter. (OK the pics are all out of order, can not figure out how to fix it) Every Princess should go for a ride in her carriage before the grand event!

Stella and Mrs. Lynn
The cake. (note to self, black icing is not such a great idea!)

The kids having a great time in Stella's room

Aunt Gracie did a great job of putting Dunning to sleep.

I can not believe how big Gabe is getting and Alison (his mother) looks so good.
The ladies, my mother, Martha and Erin.

Lots of fun with the Pinata Lorena made. Thanks sis!

Cake time!

Jason and I helped Stella blow out her candle this year.

After cake we had to change into a new outfit.

12 months at the Dr. office

Friday we took Stella to the Dr. for her 12 month check up. She is now checking in at 29 1/2 inches, 23 pounds and 14 ounces. She is in the 90 percentile and doing great. She now has three teeth on bottom with the top two teeth coming as I sit here and type. She is saying words such at momma, dadda, baby, puppy and her all time favorite word is Buh Bye! Stella is trying to walk but has not mastered that just yet, it is coming soon I fear.

Birthday Part 2

Thursday evening for Stella's birthday we went over to Gigi and Papa's house for Stella to open presents. She was very excited to get her wagon and go for a ride in it. We then got to go to dinner and Stella chose Granite City Grill, a very good choice if I do say to myself. We ended the evening with a little Andy's ice cream. All in all it was a great day. (Her are some photos for the evening, for some reason I can not get them to post in order) At dinner being cute.

This photo is for Jason because he says that I do not have any of Stella and I together.

At dinner looking like a demon!

Checking out her wagon of gifts. She is one very lucky little girl.

Opening some presents, loving the tissue paper.

Happy Birthday Stella!

Happy 1st Birthday Miss Thing! I hope that it is a fabulous day. Mom and Dad love you so much. This year has flown by and I can not wait to see what the next one holds for us.

One So Small

By Wendy Silva

As I cradle you in my arms and watch your every breath, tears run down my cheek.
You are the center of my world, my precious little girl, so innocent and meek.

I am lost in your eyes forever and can sense you know I am here.
I know that you will grow to be a very special person; for this I have no fear.

I know you will grow and develop quickly as if time has no end.
However, I will give you the knowledge of knowing that you will always be my friend.

You are my beloved precious daughter and I want to make all your dreams come true.
For that is what you gave to me, when I was blessed you.

Play Date with Payton

Payton came over to play with Stella today. It was lots of fun! Payton and Stella thought it would be a great idea to put on their tutu and take some pictures while they played in the back yard.

Mother's Day Out

Monday Stella got to attend Mother's Day Out for the first time at our church. It was great! This is a photo of her that morning before we left the house. Stella does not do mornings and I had to wake her up to get there on time so she is looking like a zombie in this photo but hey at least I got one! They said that she did great and told everyone Buh Bye when they came to the door.

OK here is the funny thing, they give you this report card when you pick them up that is like a chart that tells you hour by hour when they sleep, dirty a diaper, what kind of diaper, food, bottle all this stuff, I was a little overwhelmed, should I be keeping track of when she does all of this stuff and giving Jason a chart when he gets home at night? Are there parents out there that keep track of all of this stuff, I am thinking that they probably have ulcers. Dear Lord, I am just happy if her head is still attached to her body at the end of the day and no broken bones we are doing good. Needless to say Mother's day out was a wonderful experience and we can not wait for next week!

Parents

I received this e-mail today and it made me think of my parents. I just wanted to take a moment to tell them thanks for being so amazing. I was reading this and with each one of the actions I had a memory of my parents doing these things. Thank you mom and dad for teaching me even when you did not realize that you were, you are wonderful parents and even better grandparents! I hope that I can follow in your footsteps and teach my children these lessons.

*WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING.*

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a stray dog, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you watch my favorite move again for the hundredth time, and I learned that it is the small things that matter.
When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a prayer, and I knew that there is a higher power I could always talk to, and I learned to trust in those thoughts.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care of a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing, and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good, and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and wanted to say, Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking

Stephanie's Pool

We were very lucky today and Stephanie invited us over to go swimming in her pool. It was a great time and Stella even got to have a swim lesson with Aunt Gracie! Aunt Gracie was sharing her pudding with Stella but Stella decided that she did not want to share, she wanted it all!
Stella found a bottle but it was not her kind of bottle! (NO, she did not drink this, it was empty and we took it away from her)
Hey! Aunt Gracie I know you have more food over there.
All the girls at the pool, Jason was the boy toy for the afternoon! Thanks Stephanie for letting us come over and hang out, we can not wait to do it again.

Veggie Tales!

Thursday afternoon once everyone was up from nap time we watched a little Veggie Tales. (OK really the girls just played on the couch while Veggie Tales played on the TV. )

Miss P

Miss P came over today. While Stella and Baby K were napping we went out side and took some photos.
