Happy Birthday

TO ME! Today I am turning 32 and I thought I would post just a few of the lessons that I have learned over the years.

1. Even when life seems really sour, their is normally something sweet to find if you take the time to look deep enough.
2. God should always be number one, if you remember that then everything else will fall into place.
3.It is OK to say no some of the time. This was a really hard thing for me to realize and I still have days that I feel really guilty for telling someone no to the things that they ask but it is OK to say no.
4. Stella, raising a strong, loving, energetic, gracefully, loud, well mannered, godly, faithful little lady into a godly, daughter, friend, sister, future wife and mother is one of the hardest but also the most rewarding jobs I have ever been blessed to do.
5. Rhett raising a strong, energetic, smiling, rambunctious, cuddly, caring, vocal, well mannered, good gentleman into a godly, son, friend, brother, future husband and father is one of the hardest but also the most rewarding jobs I have ever been blessed to do.
6. God really knew what he was doing when he lead my life down the path that crossed with Jason, I am blessed each day of my life that I get to share it with such an incredible friend, husband, father, I really could not ask for more. (I mean the man does put up with ME! He has to be some kind of super,)
7. Good friends and I mean GOOD friends are a blessing that you never take for granted, and you need to let them know how much you value them. Someone that will stick by your side no matter how yucky you feel, act or look deserves to know how special they are in your life.
8, I am all about a good deal but there are some things in life it is worth paying top dollar. A good pair of high heel shoes that don't hurt your feet, spend the money, blisters are the worst!
9. My daddy always told me growing up that you are what you surround yourself with, I never really truly understood that until recently but they are probably one of the wisest things I have ever heard. Surround yourself with Godly, loving, caring, warm people and you will be a more Godly, loving, caring, person to those that you are around.
10.Your parents are probably one of the best set of friends you will ever have in your life. You will love them, take them for granted, yell at them, hate them, abuse them, hurt them, bring great joy and great heart ache to their lives but not matter what they will always open their arms and hearts and welcome you home.
11. Be proud of the things about you that are different. Walk to your own drum, stand out, be yourself and rejoice in the way that the Lord made you you.
12. Always take care of your skin, sunscreen is a great thing, use it!
13. Take lots of photos, they are the memories that you will always have to look back at the wonderful moments in your life.
14. Growing older is a good thing, each year brings you new lessons, new joys, new loves, new friends, enjoy each year
