Happy Mother's Day! Not only was today Mother's day but we had Rhett's parent/child dedication at our church. I have to admit that I was a nervous wreck before hand, 1 because I hate to be up in front of people, love to just blend with the wallpaper if at all possible 2 Stella was going on stage and she is the polar opposite of me, loves being in front of people and you do not know what she is going to do! I have to say that she did very well, she just really wanted to hold pastors hand during the prayer and ended up laying on the floor because we would not let her but you now what everyone should have had their eyes closed and head down at that time, so if they saw they were not doing what they were suppose to so shame on them!My friend Erin that I have known pretty much my whole life was having her son dedicated also, we had a little gift to help him remember such a special day and Stella was carrying it around and very upset that we could not find him at first! She does crack me up sometimes the way she will make this sad little face.
Really excited and waiting for our turn to go up on stage.
Could these two look any more alike.

Up on stage, Rhett I love you very much son but at this point I was thinking that my arms were not going to make it, high heel shoes and a 25 pound baby are not a good combo!

Rhett, We love you very much and were so proud to share you with our church family. They asked for a comment about you to read today, ours was that you are the calm in the storm that we call a family. I do not think that anything else could have described how you are right now. Everyone is moving around you but you just sit, smile and hang taking all those moments life gives us in with those beautiful blue eyes. 1 Samuel 1:27 says "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him." We did ask for you and were granted even more than we could have ever imagined. I am so excited to watch you grow and become a wonderful man of God. We love you very much my little shepherd.
